I felt my body fading, and honestly, I was embarrassed. As a trainer, I was supposed to be the example of health, but after having my baby, I struggled with my weight, constant pain, and exhaustion that no amount of “healthy” habits or working out seemed to fix. I was doing all the right things and still felt trapped in a body that didn’t feel like my own. It was frustrating and humbling, and as the days went on, I knew something had to change.
Desperate for answers, I made an appointment with my naturopath, hoping this time we’d finally uncover the reason for my inflammation, pain, and utter fatigue just a few hours after waking up. She ordered a full panel of tests, and I was so hopeful that this would be it—the answer I’d been waiting for.

The call finally came, and my heart literally skipped a beat. This is it! I thought. But instead, she delivered the “great news” that everything looked normal. My gut test? Normal. Hormones? Slightly high cortisol in the morning, but nothing to worry about. Blood panels? Perfect. She suggested trying a few supplements and said it was likely just a phase. “We can check back in 30–60 days,” she said. I hung up, and then I broke down. I knew what I was feeling wasn’t normal, yet here I was again—no answers.

I found out my current diet was completely wrong for me. I made a few adjustments, and while I started to see some good progress, it still didn’t feel like the whole answer.
